The optimal coffee dosage ratio is 2 tablespoons of coffee to 8 oz of water. This appears to be a general consensus and works for us, too. But wait…is it a level tablespoon or a heaped tablespoon? There’s a difference.
Most machines come with a scoop, so you’re sorted. You simply use two scoops for every 8 oz of water. But wait… did you check that your scoop is really equal to one tablespoon? Scoops come in different sizes so it pays to check. There’s a reason this ratio of coffee dosage is touted as the optimum – it’s because it results in the best cup of coffee.
